Prerequisite: Fostering a Culture of Inclusion for Employees — Part I
The Office of Human Resources (OHR) is excited to announce “Fostering a Culture of Inclusion Series”, several learning experiences to enhance knowledge and encourage dialogue regarding diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). During this virtual session, learners will build working knowledge of DEI and be provided with tools to expand awareness and enhance inclusivity in our ever evolving environment.
The sessions will be hosted by the OHR in partnership with Reggie Butler, of Performance Paradigm LLC. The series will consist of two live webinars and corresponding materials to prepare for the sessions and assist with the application of the learnings.
-Demonstrate increased awareness of the dimensions of diversity, stages of cultural competence, and intersectionality that impact each of us and shape the way we see the world
-Discuss the importance of emotional intelligence to cultivate inclusivity across virtual and in-person interactions
-Define and practice skills to engage in culturally dexterous conversations to enhance your connections with colleagues including discussions regarding the impact of Covid-19 on diverse populations
-Demonstrate flexibility in managing cultural norms and behaviors with your supervisors, team, and peers
